Interlocks
A mechanism designed to increase Laser safety by automatically Switching off the laser or blocking the laser beam. Commercial lasers often have interlock connections on the back side of the laser driver (i.e., the electronic controls) and one can connect those to an electrical Contact that is installed at a door. Interlocks can easily be tampered with and should not be heavily relied upon for laser safety.
