Fiber Optics
Commonly acronymized as FO, this branch of optical technology is concerned with the Transmission of radiant power through fibers made of transparent materials, such as glass, fused silica, or plastic. Fiber optics are implemented in the transmission of information (sound, video or data) in which Light is modulated and transmitted over high purity, hair-thin filaments.
