Fiber Optic Waveguide
A relatively long strand of transparent substance, typically glass, capable of conducting an Electromagnetic Wave of optical wavelength. The Fiber optic Waveguide may be homogenous or radically inhomogenous, with step or graded changes in its refractive index.
