Electromagnetic Interference -EMI

The disruption or unwanted response of an electrical device caused by another device's electromagnetic field in the radio frequency range. Fiber optic Cables are not susceptible to electromagnetic interference, making them suited for use in situations where this may occur. Also referred to as EMI.
