Timbercon’s Armadillo Loopback Achieves ROHS Compliance
Timbercon, Inc. announces it has achieved compliance with all RoHS directives for the Armadillo loopback product line. This announcement comes as part of a larger corporate initiative to have every Timbercon product RoHS compliant before July 1, 2006.
To achieve RoHS compliance, Timbercon worked with vendors and internal manufacturing divisions to verify component, process, and packaging level compliance, ensuring that each attribute contains less than the allotted amount of hazardous substances set forth in the RoHS directive by the European Union. “Ensuring the Armadillo loopback is compliant with all the RoHS directives well before the deadline is a key factor for the continued success of the product line,” said Sean Gitt, Marketing Director for Timbercon.

About RoHS
RoHS directives are designed to reduce the level of certain compounds found in some electrical and electronic products. These compounds include: lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). By July 1, 2006, any product marketed in the European marketplace must contain less than the predetermined level of these substances.
