Timbercon, Inc. Joins Local Northwest Companies and County Agencies in Founding the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition (PNDC)
LAKE OSWEGO, OR – February 28, 2005 – Timbercon, Inc. has joined other prominent Oregon and Washington companies, Clackamas County, and the Oregon Technology Partnership to create an organization focused on collaboration and promotion of manufacturing capabilities for defense projects and opportunities in the region.
The PNDC is a newly-formed membership group dedicated to establishing a cluster of defense-related companies based in Oregon and Washington to foster regional collaboration and economic development. PNDC is supported by Clackamas County and the Oregon Science and Technology Partnership.
Timbercon.s involvement with the PNDC has been a mutually beneficial opportunity for both the council and Timbercon,. states Tim Currier, the defense channel Account Manager for Timbercon and founding PNDC Board Member. .As an established technology company, and one of the regions emerging defense suppliers, we have been able to offer the council a unique perspective on the current state of the market, as well as further diversify our networking efforts for future defense industry opportunities for Timbercon itself. We hope that all of the regional supply base will embrace the opportunity to join the PNDC in its efforts to increase our visibility in Washington DC, so that we can grow defense related spending in the states of Oregon and Washington.
