Timbercon Finalist for the Portland Business Journal’s 2011 Manufacturing Company of the Year Award
Timbercon, Inc., a fiber optic product and solution manufacturing company, announced today that were a finalist the Portland Business Journal’s 2011 Manufacturing Company of the Year Award in the Medium Sized Company ($10M – $50M in revenue) category. The award honors manufacturing companies in Oregon and Southwest Washington for outstanding and innovative practices.
The awards were presented on October 27th at the Oregon Manufacturing Awards luncheon at the Governor Hotel. The Manufacturer of the Year award is based on company performance, overall business strategy, innovative approaches to internal operations, manufacturing processes, sustainable practices involving customers, partners and suppliers. Award categories recognized at the event included; Manufacturing Company of the Year Awards (Small, Medium and Large), Excellence in Training, and Product Innovation of the Year.

Timbercon was nominated for the 2011 Manufacturer of the Year award for continuous improvement, embracing change as a method of growth, as well as practicing the principals of lean manufacturing. Timbercon has experienced consistent revenue growth throughout its 14 year history and is positioned for substantial revenue growth in 2012.
